Relief & Rehabilitation Commission

Functions:

The South Sudan Relief and Rehabilitation Commission performs the following functions and duties:

• To coordinate relief, repatriation, rehabilitation, resettlement and reintegration;
• To coordinate reconstruction efforts by Government of RSS, UN and other agencies;
• Risk reduction management.

Structure:

The Commission is comprised of the following administrative units:

• Chairperson
• Executive Director
• Two deputy directors
• General administration directors
• States directors and County Secretaries
• Liaison officers in Lokichogio/Nairobi, Uganda, Khartoum and Ethiopia

Projects and Programs:

• Reintegration of returnees
• Rehabilitation
• Resettlement programmes for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs)

Publications and Documents:

• Database with IOM and UNHCR
